DEBUT ALBUM THE JOURNEY

"The Journey" is an album written for the broken, and for the strong.

For the dreamer, and for the intelectual.

For the young, and for the young at heart.

All walk this earth on life's journey, each one has a battle to fight,

and a race to run.  You are not alone!

This album was written for you, to assist you on this journey.

The Journey To The Album Release

Since the summer of 2012, West of Here had been recording music for their debut album in different studios across Alberta, Canada.

In 2014 they began recording in Salt Shaker Studios with GMA Covenant Award winning producer, Jared Salte.

About midway through recording in Salt Shaker Studios, Taylor (Lead Vocals) began to have problems with his voice. His vocal chords were damaged to the point where he was unable to sing for over four months. This halted the recording process until he could recover. After his recovery his vocal was noticeably stronger, and the group decided to re-record the lead vocals on all the previously recorded songs.  This set them back even further but was just the beginning of the many improvements made to the album, including the addition of five more songs.

During this process West of Here released Singles to Christian Radio stations across Canada.

They have now been played on almost every Christian radio station in the country and have begun to branch out internationally.  Years of ups and downs and inspiring moments has led to what West of Here now calls "The Journey".  For what seemed like an eternity for three brothers Matt, Taylor, and Tristan, the recording process was finally complete. The album was finally released March 18, 2016.
